Rules
General Rules:
- All Minnesota State rules and regulations apply.
- Largemouth & Smallmouth Bass only.
- Artificial bait ONLY.
- Everyone must pay Jamie before leaving the launch. You must pay the fees BEFORE you leave the launch area. we will not find you out on the water to collect your fees.
- If you do not pay for the event before leaving the launch area, I will assume you are not participating in the contest.
- Fishing times are Tuesday nights, from 5:30pm to 9:00pm. You must be at the launch at 5:30pm and return back to the launch at 9:00pm. If you show up after 5:30pm you will still be allowed to fish, but you must find Travis and Jamie's boat and pay them before you start fishing.
- If all league boaters are present, league will start early.
- Returning to the launch more than 2 minutes after 9:00pm (8:30pm on designated nights due to sun set) you will lose 1 pound of your total weight for the night. If you return to the launch more than 5 minutes late you will forfeit.
- There is a 6 fish limit per boat. No more than 6 fish in your live well at anytime.
- The fish must be a minimum of 13” in length. If you bring in a fish that is smaller then 13", you will be penalized 1 lb. from your total weight per "short" fish.
- You may be required to show your live well to anyone upon request, before the contest.
- Maximum of 2 people per boat. 1 person per boat is allowed, limit of 6 fish in your live well at all times. Full boat fees still apply.
- There will be no pre-fishing allowed the same day of the contest.
- You will not be allowed to leave the launch area prior to fishing time.
- Every possible effort must be made to keep fish alive. Dead fish will be weighed toward your total weight and for big fish. There will be a 1 lb. penalty for each dead fish that is weighed.
- Numbers will be drawn for take off. You must allow 5 second after each boat is up on plane before the next boat can go.
- All boats must have an approved live well and life vests.
- If there is bad weather, a minimum of 1.25 hours of fishing time is needed for fish to be weighed. If the event is called off before 1.25 hours of fishing time, NO fish will be weighed in and all fees will be returned.
- You will be required to have a cell phone on your boat for emergencies or bad weather.
- If you are caught in violation of any of the rules, you will be disqualified for that event. No money will be returned if you are disqualified.
- Payouts: Tie Breakers: 1st # of Fish, 2nd: Biggest Fish
- All rules are subject to change.
- Hawg Hunters league and/or organizers are not liable for any harm or damage that may result from the lake, landing, etc.
