RULES

  1. All Participants must wear USCG approved PFD’s when the gas engine is running. Driver must attach the engine kill switch.
  2. No boat may come within 50 feet of another boat without permission.
  3. All participants must maintain liability insurance and accept responsibility for all liability for there actions.
  4. If any citation is issued from any law enforcement agency you will be disqualified. It is the participants’ responsibility to notify the other participants.
  5. The chosen lake is off limits at dusk the day before the Match.
  6. Use of landing nets is prohibited.
  7. No live bait (live or dried).
  8. No trolling.
  9. During tournament hours no alcohol or narcotic drugs may be consumed or allowed in the boat while on the water, with the exception of prescribed medications.
  10. Displaying of poor sportsmanship and bringing unfavorable publicity to the sport of bass fishing shall be grounds for disqualification.
  11. All boats must meet USCG and State regulations. All must have a functioning emergency kill switch.
  12. An adequate livewell capable of sustaining 2 limits (10) of fish throughout the day.
  13. No extra fuel containers will be allowed.
  14. No added platforms may be added to the boat, Standing on the motor for the purpose of locating fish will not be allowed.
  15. All protests must be submitted in writing within 24 hours of the Match to the director.
  16. Contestants must leave and return to the official checkpoint by there boat or the angler they are fishing against in case of breakdown.
  17. At least one angler has to have a scale to weight both anglers’ fish at the end of the match. If both anglers have a scale you will have a back up.
  18. A 5 fish limit per angler 12” minimum (unless local laws are different). Short fish will be a 1 pound penalty; Dead fish will be 1 pound penalty and a 1 pound penalty for each minute late to the pre determined check in point up to 15 minutes, after which you will be disqualified.
  19. There will be 3 times allotted for a match (anglers must chose one before the Match);

 #1 Boater vs. boater, 8 hours

#2 Boater vs. non boater, 8 hours

#3 Boater vs. Boater, 4 hours, (week night matches)

  1. There are 2 types of matches, boater vs. boater each in his or her own boat and boater vs. non boater in the same boat with shared trolling motor time. You will be responsible for deciding that prior to the match.
  2. Matches will initially be set by a “call out”. Both parties have to agree on the call out and state that on the entry form. If you do not call out someone you will be appointed a match partner. Matches will be posted by the 1st of May. You will have 1 month to complete the match and report the outcome to the director. All other matches will be posted by the first of the following month. Both anglers have to agree on a lake. If one cannot be agreed upon one will be chosen by the director around a half way point between the 2 anglers. The anglers are responsible for lake & time to be fished. Anglers are also responsible for contacting the director with all the details of the match. (There will be special regs for states with seasons so we fit in the time allowed)
  3. There will a payout for the top 3 places after all matches have been completed and a 24 hour protest period is over.
  4. You must follow all state & local regulations. 1 bass boat represents all bass anglers.
